  • Grant submissions and the review process can take several months to complete, so give yourself ample time to prepare and execute your application. Organizations may have their own grant applications, but written proposals are also common. Written proposals usually include:
    • One-page summary of your proposal
    • Statement of why your organization needs an AED, the potential benefits, and who would operate it
    • Program description
    • Budget for cost of AED and any other anticipated expenses
    • Conclusion that summarizes the key points
  • Don't neglect reaching out to local organizations; these organizations often prioritize partnering with community organizations, so they present a great opportunity to help fund an AED purchase as well!
